Genesis 2:24 Dunamis Center (GDC) also has a vision to focus on Substance Abuse, and Mental/ Behavioral Health. With the widespread of the Pandemic epidemic, Mental/Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, and a high rate of suicide is more prevalent in our community than ever before.
There is an enormous need for counseling in our Church, our community, our country and throughout our world.
I obtained a Licensed Alcohol Drug Certification, twenty-five years ago, and I have worked as a Licensed Counselor, at a Methadone clinic, with Inmates, Youth, Inpatients, Outpatients, Psychiatric, Professional, and with Pregnant women who had kids.
I have a bachelor’s degree (in Criminal Justice/ Juvenile Justice, and one of my biggest professional accomplishments was obtaining my master’s degree (12/2011) in Behavior Health/Counseling Services. With this Degree, I can counsel individuals with Mental Health issues. I have worked with Medicaid and Medicare Clients, doing Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services; Which consists of; guiding the client to make appropriate decisions concerning their mental/behavioral Health, living situations, State Benefits, Parenting, Substance Abuse, Doctor’s appointment, Communication Skills, School issues with Teachers, if need be, and anything else that will help them to have a smooth transition, so that they will be able take care of themselves, and become a productive Citizens in this society.
One thing that I will note is I love working with Children and Youth.
In 2011, after receiving my master’s degree, my husband and I were asked to join the Marriage and Family Ministry at our place of Worship. We worked alongside our Christian Sisters and brothers doing Ministry work at the Church, where we attended. working alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ doing Ministry work, I have participated in and lead many workshops that were open to all Church Members, as well as the community. Some of the workshops included (Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Mental Health and Behavioral Health Issues, Co-Parenting, Sex-Trafficking, Suicide Prevention, Parenting Skills, Marriage Retreats, knowing your Partners Love Language, Christian Marriages, preparing for Marriage, Grief Share workshop, Symptoms of Grief and many, many more).

As an active partner in the Mental Health area, I help coordinate; with Genesis 2:24 Dunamis Center:

Help organize and bring forth to the Church and Community, Mental/Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Workshops

Facilitating the Grief Share and Grief Workshops

Attend Monthly Meetings for the Ministry

Serve as a Liaison to the Church/Community to help get educational packets out to the Church and Community

Able to provide counseling to those Individuals that need services surrounding Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Grief issues.

Beverley & Robert Bradshaw
What GOD has joined together, earthly circumstance cannot separate.
•Robert and Beverley met while attending the Single’s Ministry, at the Church. They did not communicate until a Single Ministry’s trip to Magic Mountain September of 1997. Beverley basically, ignored him, and Robert, asked her Brother-In-Law to ask her out on a double date, which, they did not show. The rest is history. Robert was such a gentleman, he truly won over Beverley’s heart.

•They talked on the phone for hours, their commonality of love, work ethics, passion for God, family, children, respect and love, brought them even closer.
​
•Their values relating to family was love, support, helping others, laughter and sharing, cohesiveness, family and friends Holiday’s and Sunday get-togethers.

•Surrounded by children, parents, siblings, grandchildren, cousins, friends and church family, Robert and Beverley were married May 07, 1999, at Calvary Southern Baptist Church, officiated by the Late, Pastor Jaffus Haley Jr. Together they shared, six children, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Robert and Beverley were married eighteen Years and eight months. Robert was called home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2018.

•Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in Education, and had retired from The Department of Corrections, January 04, 2004, after faithfully serving 24.5 Years as a Correction Officer/Forestry and Fire Officer
•Robert and Beverley were active in Church until Robert was called home to be with the Lord:
•Robert served on the Marriage and Family Ministry, the Security Ministry, as well as the Counseling (for New Members) Ministry, and was a member of the Majestic Choir.
•Beverley served as a member of the Youth Jubilation, Usher Ministry, served as a Vacation Summer School Teacher, On the Nursery Ministry, and a Youth Sunday School Teacher. Before COVID 19 hit, she was active as a Grief Share Facilitator, and on the Echoes Music Ministry.
•Robert and Beverley had been members of the Marriage & Family Ministry Team since December 2011.
